PTM UK Meeting Held in Birmingham to Strengthen Movement and Community Engagement


Birmingham, UK — February 25:
An important meeting of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement United Kingdom (PTM UK) was held in Birmingham, focusing on key issues including the rights of Pashtuns and all Afghans, peace, unity, and the organisational strength of PTM as a nationwide movement.
Members of the PTM UK Central Committee met with senior representatives of the PTM Birmingham unit, along with other active members from the community. The discussions centred on strategies to further strengthen the movement in UK, and participants expressed unanimous support for PTM’s mission and principles.
The meeting involved a detailed exchange of ideas on various topics, including:
Structuring and formally organising the Birmingham unit
Planning local activities and community outreach
Strengthening ties with the Afghan diaspora in the region
Promoting PTM’s message of justice, human rights, and non-violence
Speakers emphasised the important role the units could play in defending Afghan rights, raising awareness of social injustices, and amplifying PTM’s peaceful and democratic principles.
At the conclusion of the meeting, all proposals were fully supported. It was unanimously agreed that practical steps will be taken for the official launch of the PTM UK units
